The crew starts sending emergency signals, but the ferry begins to burn and is sinking rapidly. Hundreds of people are fighting for their lives in the ice-cold water. But then out of nowhere carrying an enormous net swims Freddy Dos Santos from Vålerenga football club. Freddy gathers the passengers and drags them into shore. They are all saved except one. The pregnant nurse Mary-Lee is still out there in the jaws of the sea. Freddy swims out and on the way back she goes into labour. And out there in the North Sea amongst the ice and snow Freddy Dos Santos delivers the little baby boy.
